MP1 Progress Review and Future Plans

At this point in the project, I have completed:

• All documents involved in the project (i.e. testing procedures, design briefs, museum and exhibit content outlines, etc)
• Finalized drawings and model for museum layout
• Alternate solutions for exhibit display, with intended solutions chosen

For the next few weeks, my objectives are to:

• Finalize solutions for each panel of exhibit display
• Create PowerPoint flowcharts for progression of touch screen displays
• Create PowerPoint layouts for printed displays
• Determine development method for touch screen displays (i.e. program using Creative Markup Language, hire a developer, use an app-building service, etc), and begin development
• Fully develop content within all panels, including text and visuals

My long-term objectives for this project are to:

• Construct a model with full-scale printouts of exhibit panels
• Fully develop and publish touch screen panels
• Publish museum content online in a virtual museum
• Compile project into formal presentation to present to National Park Service historians, to present to potential private investors
